Who are we? |
We are a concerned group of retired automotive people...board members, vice presidents, executives, engineers, secretaries, suppliers, and journalists. Collectively we have hundreds of years of experience working within and around the General Motors Corporation.
We believe that by exploring our combined expansive and intimate knowledge of General Motors, we can help find a solution to the problems that have plagued the manufacturer for decades.
By collecting, mining and publishing this information, we believe that our efforts can be the catalyst that once and for all, returns General Motors to the forefront of the automobile industry.

Del C. Schroeder, (email) a retired auto executive engineer, who has worked for GM, Ford, Chrysler and DCX along the way, is a principal in, and spokesman for, Outside the Box LLC, which created the website.
“We look at it as the world’s largest suggestion box,” Schroeder says. “We want to encourage all parties – GM employees, GM retirees, GM vehicle owners and owners of other vehicles, suppliers, dealers, the media, government agencies, legislators and Wall Street analysts – to email their suggestions. We aren’t interested in hearing from folks with car problems or those seeking redress from GM. Our focus is on GM’s future, not its past.”

Exactly who we are is not as important as why were together. |
Our goal is to develop a plan to help General Motors Corporation return to respectability and profitability.
